Occupational Therapy

What does occupational therapy look like at Willow Integrated Therapy?

We work toward improving any of the following, making a unique plan for you:

- Sensory Processing

How we take in and organize input, to produce more expected responses.

- Emotional and Self-Regulation

Learning strategies to move through our day with improved ease.

- Executive Functioning and Motor Planning

Coming up with the ideas, getting out materials, sequencing steps, maintaining tasks, and stopping tasks on time.

- Gross and Fine Motor Coordination and Control

- Self Care Tasks

Especially toileting, selective feeding, not getting enough calories and building good sleep routines.

What makes us different than other therapy experiences:

  1. Individual Sensory Gyms

Willow has several sensory gyms. Therapy sessions are conducted in individual rooms with ample space to meet needs and preferences. Some of our gyms are large enough to work with others if desired, and if the client is working on this in their goals.

  2. Trauma Informed and Strength Based Approach

We use trauma-informed approach and focus on the power within to ensure that all therapy sessions have a positive impact and capitalize on strengths and autonomy.

  3. Collaborative Approach

We support parents by equipping them with tools and strategies to enhance engagement with their child. Parents take an active role in the treatment process during our sessions. Our collaborative approach as a team yields the desired outcomes that parents or clients present to us at the beginning of treatment. We meet together weekly as a team to ensure our clients are able to access shared resources from all therapists on our team, (a total of over thirty-five years of experience) to ensure goals are achieved.
