Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
What is SSP?
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an evidence-based listening therapy designed to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through filtered music. The SSP acts as a non-invasive, acoustic vagal nerve stimulator, helping to re-tune the nervous system to better support connection, collaboration and resilience. The SSP involves listening to specifically filtered music through headphones a providers guidance either in person or remotely.
The Process:
Participants listen to various soundtracks of modulated music for a total of 5 hours, while the SSP practitioner monitors and supports the program throughout the process. This is able to be provided remotely at home on a daily basis to support growth in self-regulation skills.
Who is SSP for?
SSP is for anyone with a nervous system that is looking to make a change in their self regulation skills and has demonstrated benefits for individuals with trauma, anxiety, sensory processing and more.
Pricing includes app subscription and skilled consultation throughout the program. Please call our office or email admin@willowintegratedtherapy.com to get started.
